About

Softstreak counts your comebacks, not just your streak. Every time you miss a day and come back, that counts — and the app shows you the ratio next to the streak, so a month with three gaps still reads as progress. Your streak survives a bad day, and the screen you see the next morning offers three ways forward instead of one number that says you failed. WHEN YOU MISS A DAY Yesterday stays open for 48 hours — mark it done and it counts. Or spend one of your two rest days a month and the streak holds. Or leave it, and the app says nothing about it. No red, no broken chain graphic, no guilt copy. THE GRID One row per habit, one square per day, a month at a glance. Gaps stay visible on purpose. A perfect grid would be a lie, and seeing that you did 18 of 22 days is the honest, useful number — not "3 day streak." GOALS THAT FIT REAL WEEKS Every day, three times a week, ten times a month — all of these are real goals here. A morning habit still counts at noon. Partial effort gets partial credit. THE STAT THAT MATTERS Longest streak and completion rate, plus your comeback rate: how often you return after missing. That is the number that actually predicts whether a habit sticks. MARK IT WITHOUT OPENING THE APP A Home Screen widget, plus App Intents and Shortcuts, so a habit takes one tap from wherever you are. YOUR DATA IS A FILE, NOT A PROMISE Back up and restore as a file you hold — no cloud, no account. It is a dated JSON file, Softstreak-2026-01-31.json, that you can open, keep anywhere and restore on a new phone. FREE, AND WHAT COSTS MONEY Five habits, the full grid, and the entire forgiveness engine are free and always will be. Charging for forgiveness would make the whole idea a lie. Stats and backup are free too. Pro adds unlimited habits: £2.99/month, £19.99/year, or £24.99 once, forever. No ads. No account. No social feed. No leaderboard. No AI coach.
