About
Cairn Skin is a private photo journal for tracking a specific spot on your body over time, a patch of skin, a healing scar, an area you simply want to keep an eye on. WHY IT'S DIFFERENT Taking two comparable photos weeks apart is harder than it sounds. Lighting shifts, you stand a little closer, the angle changes, and suddenly the photos aren't really comparable at all. Cairn Skin solves that. When you go to take a new photo, your previous one appears faintly over the camera view so you can line up the same framing. A live indicator tells you when the lighting is good and the phone is steady. The result is a series of photos that are actually worth comparing. TRACK SEVERAL PLACES AT ONCE Create a separate tracking area for each spot, "left forearm," "knee scar," "shoulder." Each one keeps its own baseline and its own history, so different places are never compared against each other. One area is free; a single purchase adds as many as you want. SEE THEM ALL TOGETHER Every photo in an area sits in one grid, in order, from your first one onward. Change is easiest to see across a sequence, and your own eyes are better at spotting it than any number would be. KEEP A RECORD Add a note to any photo, a new product you started, how something felt that day. Export any area as a PDF with all your photos, dates, and notes, ready to save or bring to an appointment. PRIVATE BY DESIGN - No account, no sign-up, no server - Nothing you photograph is uploaded - No analytics, no tracking, no ads - Photos are stored encrypted and can't be read while your phone is locked - All image comparison happens on your device - Face ID keeps your photos locked A NOTE ON WHAT THIS IS Cairn Skin is a wellness journal, a better way to keep and compare your own photos. It does not diagnose, screen for, or assess any medical condition, and it deliberately doesn't score or rate what it shows you. Photographs are affected by lighting, angle, and distance, so the app will tell you when two photos were taken under conditions too different to compare fairly. For any health concern, please see a qualified healthcare provider.Read more

WHY IT'S DIFFERENT
Taking two comparable photos weeks apart is harder than it sounds.
TRACK SEVERAL PLACES AT ONCE
Create a separate tracking area for each spot, "left forearm," "knee scar," "shoulder." Each one keeps its own baseline and its own history, so different places are never compared against each other. One area is free; a single purchase adds as many as you want.
SEE THEM ALL TOGETHER
Every photo in an area sits in one grid, in order, from your first one onward. Change is easiest to see across a sequence, and your own eyes are better at spotting it than any number would be.
KEEP A RECORD
Add a note to any photo, a new product you started, how something felt that day. Export any area as a PDF with all your photos, dates, and notes, ready to save or bring to an appointment.
