About
OmniDent is a private photo journal for your own mouth, a two-minute daily care session, and questions to take to a dentist visit. It is educational only. It is not FDA authorized, and it is not a substitute for a licensed dentist. What it does - Keep a dated photo of your own mouth next to the last one (You) - Read a journal photo on this device: tap Read this photo on-device and a vision model you download lists what it sees, then Apple Intelligence or a downloaded text model writes what the photo looks like, which can name a dental condition, one care job and one or two questions for your dentist. Not FDA authorized. Only a dentist can diagnose - Log the two-minute care session dentists ask about — brush, clean between teeth, optional rinse (Do) - Read general oral-health packs with sources, starting from the Record tab - Ask: answers are generated by an on-device model (Apple Intelligence, or a text model you download) and shown as the model writes them. Ask appears when Apple Intelligence is available and on-device answers are on - Take visit questions to your dentist (More) - Optional on-device models: you tap to download weights from Hugging Face; they run on this device - Optional Apple Health (HealthKit) for toothbrushing events and dietary sugar you choose to share - iCloud Sync, on unless you turn it off in Settings, carries your preferences and a short Continue note (the tab you were on and the last photo record’s identifier — not the photo, not the topic you were reading, and not anyone’s name) through your private iCloud — not photos, not care logs. Sign in with Apple is optional What it does not do - Upload your photos or your questions - Give an FDA-authorized reading of a photo - Replace a dental visit Privacy - Photos stay on this device, and in its device backup, unless you save or share them. OmniDent does not upload them. - App Privacy nutrition label: Data Not Collected. - Sign in with Apple, when used, keeps an app-only Apple ID, and your name and email if Apple shares them, only in this device’s Keychain, and turns iCloud Sync on. Always consult a licensed dentist for concerns about your mouth.
