Vellicor: Rank Your Books

Five stars doesn't mean much. Half the books you loved and half the books you merely finished end up in the same place. Vellicor asks a better question: how did this book actually feel? Pick a tier — Loved, Good, Fine, or Didn't like — then compare it head to head against a handful of books you have already ranked. Three comparisons is usually enough. What you get is not a rating. It's a list, in order, that you actually agree with. RANK WHAT YOU READ Every book lands in a precise spot among everything else you have read. Sentiment is a hard boundary, so a book you loved can never sit below one you merely liked, however long your list grows. Add notes, labels, and a recommendation while the book is fresh. SEE WHAT YOUR PEOPLE ARE READING Follow other readers and watch their rankings land in your feed. Open any book to see how the people you follow felt about it, and how the wider Vellicor community ranked it. Write reviews. Reply to friends. Argue about endings. KEEP THE WHOLE SHELF Want to Read, Currently Reading, Read, and Did Not Finish — all in one place. Scan a barcode to add a book in seconds. Log progress as you go, save quotes and highlights, and set a reading goal for the year. BOOK CLUBS THAT ACTUALLY WORK Start a club, pick a book, run a poll on the next one, schedule a meeting, and keep the discussion in threads instead of a lost group chat. SEE YOUR READING CLEARLY Pages, genres, pace, streaks, and how your taste has shifted over the year — drawn from what you actually ranked, not what you meant to read.
