Oddio: Face Ambient Soundscape

Oddio - Face-Controlled Ambient Instrument # Ever wondered if a face could make a sound? Sounds a bit odd, we'll grant you. True all the same. We spend most days wearing an expression that isn't quite ours — the smile for a difficult customer, the neutral face for a demanding boss, the "I'm fine, thanks" said so many times you've almost started believing it. Then you find a corner where nobody's watching. That's the corner Oddio was built for. # Not a Filter. An Instrument. Point your iPhone's TrueDepth camera at your face. Your jaw controls volume, a raised brow lifts the pitch, a pucker deepens the reverb — shaping a continuous ambient sound and a drifting fractal visual, live, in real time. Your face never appears on screen. What you get is its shape, translated into sound and colour. The sound never assumes how you're meant to feel. Some of it is vast and hollow. Some is warm, like a room just after dawn. Some is tense and compressed, because a rough day deserves an honest soundtrack, not a cheerful one pretending everything's fine. # Where the Name Comes From Say "Oddio" aloud and it lands close to "audio" — with a bit of "odd" stuck to the front. Split it differently and you're left with "io": input, output. Your expression goes in; sound and colour come out. # Perfect For: • A few minutes of decompression, alone, without an audience • Recording strange, beautiful clips to keep or share • Exporting a Live Photo and setting it as your Lock Screen • Finding a moment of quiet in drifting colour • Exploring palettes inspired by starlight, sunrise, and open water # Features ## Real-Time Face-to-Sound Mapping Jaw controls volume, a raised brow lifts the pitch, a pucker deepens the reverb — all shaped by Apple's TrueDepth camera, live. ## Ambient Sound Worlds A growing set of sound presets, from calm and spacious to tense and compressed, so there's something honest for whatever mood you're actually in. ## Colour Palettes & Visual Intensity A growing set of fractal colour palettes and levels of visual detail, all responding to your expression in real time. ## Video Recording, Screenshots & Live Photos Capture your session as a video or screenshot, or export it as a Live Photo ready to set as your Lock Screen wallpaper. ## Premium Preview Try any preset or palette you haven't unlocked yet, for a limited time, before deciding. # Privacy First Your face is one of the most private things about you. • 100% On-Device: All face tracking happens on your iPhone, using Apple's ARKit. • Nothing Recorded: Your camera feed is never displayed, saved, or sent anywhere. • No Account: No sign-up, nothing to remember. • No Tracking: No analytics, no third parties. # Free & Premium ## Free Forever: • Cosmos, the founding sound • The Cosmic, Monochrome, and Sakura palettes • Minimal and Standard visual intensity • Every sensitivity setting — Gentle, Standard, and Expressive • Screenshots, and recordings up to the free time limit ## Premium Unlocks: • Further sound worlds — Dawn, Gravity, Void, Drift, Elegy, and more • Further palettes — Fire, Emerald, Neon, Tiffany, Sunset, Aurora, Gold, and more • Intense visual complexity • Recordings well past the free limit • Everything we add to any of the above later, included, no further charge Download Oddio today.
