About

Need a spare key? Key Factory turns a photo into a finished duplicate. Lay your key flat on any bank-card-sized card, take a picture, and the app measures it. The card gives us the scale, so we can identify the key blank and read each cut to a fraction of a millimetre. We then cut your key in our UK workshop and post it to you, tracked. HOW IT WORKS • Scan: place the key on a card and follow the on-screen frame. Mortice keys take a second close-up of the bit. • Verify: we match the blank and decode the cut depths. A person checks every order before anything is cut. • Receive: your duplicate is cut in the UK and dispatched securely to your door. WHAT WE CUT • Cylinder keys: Yale-type, euro profile and most household door keys • Mortice keys: 3, 5 and 7 lever, including ERA, Union, Chubb and Legge • Security keys, on proof that you are entitled to a copy BUILT FOR SECURITY • Your key photos are encrypted and deleted automatically after 30 days • We use only the outline of the card for scale. We never read card numbers, and we recommend using the back of the card • Restricted and security keys need proof of identity and entitlement • Ordering and payment happen on our secure website Privacy policy: https://keyfactory.co.uk/privacy-policy/Read more
