About

Qiblatayn points you to the Kaaba, tells you when to pray, and keeps the whole Islamic year in your pocket — accurately, offline, and without ever sending your location anywhere. The name comes from Masjid al-Qiblatayn in Medina, the mosque of the two qiblas, where the direction of prayer turned toward Mecca in the middle of a prayer. A COMPASS THAT ACTUALLY POINTS • True north, not magnetic north. The app carries the World Magnetic Model on board and corrects for magnetic declination wherever you are. • Sensor fusion smooths the needle instead of letting it jump. • A live accuracy indicator, and a calibration prompt when your phone needs it. • Distance to the Kaaba, in kilometres. PRAYER TIMES THAT MATCH YOUR MOSQUE • Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha, with sunrise marking the end of Fajr. • 12 calculation methods: Muslim World League, Umm al-Qura, Egyptian General Authority, Karachi, Dubai, Qatar, Kuwait, Singapore, Moonsighting Committee, Tehran, Diyanet, ISNA. • Madhab setting for Asr (Shafi / Hanafi). • A manual per-prayer offset, in minutes, when your local mosque differs. • High-latitude rules for places where the sun barely sets. • Times follow the place you set, not the phone's clock — useful when you travel. THE ISLAMIC CALENDAR, ALL YEAR • Holidays of the year, as a list and as a calendar, in the Hijri year or the civil one. • Ramadan, Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha, Ashura, the Islamic New Year, the Day of Arafah. • Mawlid, al-Isra wal-Miraj and mid-Shaban each sit behind their own switch and ship off. The app offers them; it never tells you what to keep. • Monday and Thursday voluntary fasts, with an optional reminder the evening before. • On a fast day, the window it runs for: Fajr to Maghrib — suhoor to iftar. • Friday's Dhuhr carries a Jumuah tag. • Hijri date with a one-day correction, and a choice of when the Hijri day turns: midnight or sunset. YOUR OWN DATES • Birthdays, anniversaries and days of remembrance, on the calendar beside the holidays. • Anchored to the Hijri calendar or the civil one — whichever the date really repeats on. • Reminders from a month ahead down to the morning of. • Two are free. Premium lifts the limit, and a date you already saved keeps reminding you either way. TASBIH COUNTER • Tap anywhere to count. The beads move one at a time under a fixed marker, the way a real string passes under your thumb. • Count freely with no target, or choose one of the known sequences — 33·33·34, 33·33·33 plus the tahlil, or 34·33·33. The app offers them all and picks none for you. • Nothing is kept: it starts at zero and forgets. No streaks, no daily totals, no score. REMINDERS THAT ARRIVE ON TIME • A notification at each prayer, each one switchable on its own. • Optional adhan (azan) sound, or your system notification sound. • An optional bell at sunrise, marking the end of Fajr. • Exact alarms, so Fajr arrives at Fajr. PRIVATE BY CONSTRUCTION • Everything is computed on your device. Prayer times and the qibla bearing are arithmetic, not a web request. • Your location is never uploaded, never sold, never shared. There is no server to upload it to. • No ads. No tracking. No account. • Works with the phone in airplane mode. IN YOUR LANGUAGE, FREE English, العربية, اردو, Bahasa Indonesia, Türkçe, Français, বাংলা, Bahasa Melayu, فارسی, Русский. Right-to-left layouts are laid out properly, not mirrored as an afterthought. PREMIUM (optional — the prayer core is always free) • AR qibla: hold up your camera and see the direction overlaid on the world. • Home-screen widgets and multiple saved locations. • Travel passes for 7, 14 or 30 days that do not auto-renew — for the traveller who wants it to simply stop. • A Wear OS watch app — coming soon. Qiblatayn asks for your location so it can compute the direction to the Kaaba and your prayer times. That is the only reason, and the location stays on the device.Read more

Three changes, all about reminders.<br>• Reminders keep arriving for three weeks without opening the app, instead of one.<br>• A prayer can now remind you silently — you see it, nobody is woken. Tap the dot beside a prayer to choose: sound, silent, or off.<br>• Settings has a new test notification. A few seconds later it plays exactly what a prayer notification will sound like on your phone.
