Tilecount is a tile calculator that lays your tile on your room before you buy it. Drag the layout until the edge cuts look right, and Tilecount counts exactly how many tiles and boxes that layout needs, plus grout and thinset. Most tile calculators multiply the area and add 10%. That is how you end up one box short, or with a thin sliver of tile along the doorway. Tilecount draws the real layout, cut by cut. SEE EVERY CUT BEFORE YOU BUY • Enter the room or wall size, pick a tile and see it laid out to scale. • Drag to move the starting point. Full tiles, cut pieces and thin slivers update as you move. • A sliver warning tells you when an edge cut gets too thin to lay well. EVERY PATTERN CHANGES THE COUNT • Straight, 1/2 offset (brick), 1/3 offset, diagonal, herringbone and hexagon. • Waste is counted from the actual cuts for each pattern, not a flat percentage. • Offcuts are reused where a cut piece fits, so you do not pay for tiles you do not need. A CUT LIST YOU CAN SHOP WITH • Full tiles, cut pieces, spare for breakage, total tiles and boxes. • Grout and thinset in bags, with the trowel notch for your tile size. • Cost per job from your tile and bag prices. • Share the list or keep it with the job.
