About
Most wind down apps hand you a library and a search bar. That works if you have the energy to choose. At eleven at night, after the kind of day that put you here, choosing is the part that does not happen. So we took it away. HOW IT WORKS Before bed you tap four things. How tense you are. How busy your head is. How much energy is left. How you slept last night. It takes about ten seconds. If you wear a watch, the sleep one is not asked: it is read from Apple Health or Health Connect. The practice opens straight after, the same evening. About twelve minutes, built from those numbers. Tensing and letting go of one muscle group at a time, or a slow even breath, or a quiet scene to follow, or lying still while a voice walks through the body and asks nothing of you. You are told in one line why you got that one. YOUR FIRST EVENING Nothing is asked. You get the practice everyone starts with, and the questions start the next evening. WHAT YOU MIGHT GET Wound up, with something still in the tank. A longer out breath and a little humming, because that is what gets through while you are still buzzing. Wound up and flat at the same time. A few small comfortable movements of the hands and ankles first, then down. Nothing standing, nothing effortful. Flat but not tense. A small lift instead of more slowing down. Short night and nothing left. Suggestions of resting weight and warmth, and nothing asked of you. Three short nights running and it stops varying. It holds one recovery practice for a few days, because nothing on the list fixes a sleep debt and pretending otherwise is not useful. Miss two evenings and the one after is four minutes instead of twelve. Coming back has to be easy or nobody comes back. AWAKE AT THREE IN THE MORNING After midnight there is a second door. Two taps, what is keeping you up and how awake you feel, and the track starts by itself, so nobody has to keep looking at a bright screen. It plays with the screen off. WHERE THE PRACTICES COME FROM Every block is built from one of a few families that have actually been studied in people: gentle muscle relaxation, comfortable slow breathing, supplied imagery and short guided rest. Where the research is thin, we say so rather than dress it up. Techniques we could not back, we left out, even the popular ones. THERE IS ALSO A male and a female voice. English, Russian, Spanish and Arabic, spoken rather than subtitled. One reminder a day at a time you pick, or none at all. After the first time, a practice is kept on the phone and plays with no connection. Aeroplane mode at midnight is the normal case, not the exception. WHAT IT COSTS Seven nights free. You pick a plan first and confirm it with your store account, and nothing is taken during those nights. Then 12.99 dollars a month, 6.99 a week if you would rather go week to week, or 69.99 a year. It renews until you stop it, and you stop it in two taps from your store account. Cancelling keeps your access to the end of the period you paid for. WHAT WE KEEP Four numbers an evening, and that is all. You can decline even those at the start and still use the app on a fixed order of practices. If you wear a watch, sleep is read from Apple Health or Health Connect instead of asked, and only sleep. Nothing is sold, nothing goes to advertisers, and you can wipe everything from inside the app in two taps. The practices are read by a synthetic voice, chosen so the pacing and the pauses stay exactly where they belong. We would rather tell you than have you work it out. THE PART WE WILL NOT BLUR This is not medical care and it does not replace it. If you take something a doctor prescribed, keep taking it and talk to your doctor. If you have been waking most nights for months, or someone has told you that you stop breathing in your sleep, please go and get looked at. If you are in crisis, contact your local emergency number or a crisis line in your country. Published by CARDIGITAL - FZCO, Dubai.Read more

A new dark look and a new icon, easier on the eyes at night. The plans screen now has a clear close button and says plainly that a subscription is needed. Each practice now plays as one continuous track, with no gaps between parts. No more humming in the practices, so you can do them next to someone who is asleep.
