Keep a quiet desk of strategy notes sorted by kind. Capture the strategy title, the kind it belongs to, how heavy the focus should be, how far it has been applied, the next review day, and a short field note. Each note moves through sketching, ripening, ready to apply, and shelved, so a date on the calendar is never treated as work already done. Open weight includes only notes that are still in motion. When a plan is applied in pieces, log each progress mark and leave the leftover open. After a note is shelved, tag the context it served, such as desk hours, a travel bag, a study table, a garden bench, or leave it unassigned. The strategy board reports open weight, shelved weight, lifetime planned weight, average applied share, and mix by kind. Compare kinds on how fully they were applied versus how heavily they were planned. Review maps, aging buckets, and a side by side of leftovers keep the schedule honest until a strategy is actually used.Read more
