About

Glazing Thermal Bench is a local workbench for window retrofit comparisons. You keep a house of rooms, register each opening’s size and facing, and store whole-product U-factor, SHGC, VT, glass makeup, and field notes for the existing unit and the candidate that would replace it. The comparison always uses one shared climate: the opening’s area (width × height), an indoor–outdoor temperature difference, and an incident solar value you choose. The bench then reports three instantaneous results in watts—conductive-load cut, solar-gain cut, and the combined snapshot—not an annual energy bill. Use it on site or at the desk: • Group openings by room and storey instead of keeping three identical lists. • Edit existing vs proposed ratings side by side, then open the full opening card for makeup and notes. • Export the opening on screen as a text ledger you can share. • Read the method table, glossary, and “how to read this snapshot” notes without leaving the bench. A one-time Full ledger unlock (¥38) adds extra named climates (winter night, summer afternoon, or your own ΔT / irradiance) and a whole-house export of every room and opening. Restore uses this device’s App Store account. All house data stays on the phone. The Privacy Policy control on the launch ribbon opens in Safari. No account is required to record windows, run a snapshot, or export the opening in front of you.Read more
