About

An hour that belongs to nothing in particular is the hardest hour to keep. This is a quiet record for the hours you decide to leave empty on purpose, and a set of charts that show what that habit actually looks like over weeks. Your day is a grid of twenty-four blocks. Tap any block to mark that hour as kept, or plan one ahead and the grid remembers what you intended. Give it a length, pick a practice if you want the hour to have a shape, and write a line about how it went. Nothing is required except the tap. Practices are simple ways of doing nothing in particular: sitting still, watching a window, an aimless walk, held silence, slow breathing, every screen switched off, open daydreaming, one slow cup, the night sky, hands busy with something repetitive. Each one comes with a short guide and a suggested length, and there is a timer if you would rather be told when the hour is over. The charts are the point. A heat strip collapses four weeks into twenty-four columns so you can see which hour of the day you are actually able to keep empty. Daily columns compare each day against your goal, filled when you met it and hollow when you did not, with a marker for your longest unbroken stretch. A ring and a ranked list show where the emptiness goes. A weekly trend line and a consistency grid give you the long view once a few weeks have accumulated. Everything you write is kept. The journal collects every note from every hour and every day in one searchable list. Milestones track the long run, from a single kept hour to a month without breaking the chain. A handful of short reading pieces explain why scheduled rest behaves differently from leftover rest, what the restless wave ten minutes in actually is, and how to stop an empty hour from being the first thing your week eats. No account, no sign in, no score. Nothing you record leaves the device, and there is nothing to subscribe to. Sound and vibration can each be switched off on their own, and the daily goal adjusts to whatever the current season of your life allows.Read more
