Gravity Belt is a fast, arcade-style space shooter set among deep-space photographs I shot myself. MY OWN ASTROPHOTOGRAPHY All astrophotography in Gravity Belt was captured by the developer through his own telescope. No stock or borrowed images. Every level is set against a real astrophotograph I took myself with my own telescope — not stock images or renders: the Horsehead Nebula, the Pleiades, the Andromeda Galaxy, the Whirlpool Galaxy, the Crab Nebula, the Heart and Soul Nebulae, the Moon, Saturn and more. Each photo appears with its name and how far away it is. SURVIVE THE BELT • Realistic rocks that crack, shatter and throw off sparks, shards and dust • Black holes that form, pull you in and crush your ship unless you thrust out • The Event Horizon stage: survive three sweeping black holes at once • Exploding suns whose blast waves tear through everything nearby • Flying saucers and armored motherships that shoot back from every direction • Shooting stars, gold nuggets and glowing power rocks to grab • A bonus missile that wipes every rock and UFO on screen, hidden in rocks alongside surprise weapon pickups SEVEN SHIPS, SEVEN WEAPONS Unlock seven ships by reaching new levels or scoring big, each with a stronger weapon: Pulse Bolt, Plasma Bolt, Heavy Slug twin cannons, Ion Lance, Nova Burst, Chain Lightning and the Singularity Cannon, which fires a tiny black hole. The Stingray has a recharging shield, and the Phoenix rises again once per game. FOUR SECTORS Deep Space, Galaxy Belt, Supernova and Chaos, with a bonus round after each one.
