About
Yeoun (余韻, "the lingering finish") is a sake tasting notes app where every sake you drink is kept as a label. Snap the label, and Yeoun finds the sake and cuts the label into a sticker for your own Label Book. Fill in the top 30 sakes one by one, and see your taste on a flavor map and a map of Japan. Made by an individual developer. Free, with no ads and no in-app purchases. JUST SNAP THE LABEL • Take a photo of a sake bottle's label and Yeoun reads it on your device to find the sake: name, brewery and region. • The label is cut out into a die-cut sticker. • Can't find it? Type in the name and brewery yourself. YOUR OWN COLLECTION • Every sake you drink adds its label to your Label Book. • The same sake keeps one label however often you drink it; each new sake adds another. • Prefer a list? Browse your notes in a list view and sort them by date or rating. COLLECT THE TOP 30 SAKES • Your Label Book has empty spots for 30 popular sakes. • Record one of them and your own label fills its spot. • Each filled spot gets a red 済 seal. Can you seal all 30? • A handy guide when choosing the next bottle. MY TASTE MAP • Each sake is placed on a 2D map: mild to floral, light to rich. • Positions come from the Sakenowa flavor chart and the aroma and taste tags you picked. • Colors show the grade: Junmai, Junmai Ginjo/Daiginjo, Ginjo/Daiginjo, Honjozo and other. • See at a glance which kind of sake you like. PREFECTURE MAP • A map of Japan's 47 prefectures fills in as you drink sake from each region. • Collect the local sakes you meet on your travels. RECORD YOUR TASTE • Star rating and aroma and taste tags (fruity, floral, dry, clean and more), plus your own custom tags • Sake name, brewery, region, grade/type and rice variety • Memo, date and photos • Sake names, breweries and regions shown in English, not just Japanese • Info pages on sake rice varieties such as Yamada Nishiki YOUR NOTES, KEPT SAFE • Start right away, no account needed. • Sign in with Google or Apple to back up your notes and sync them across devices. • You can delete your account from within the app. MORE • Available in English, Japanese, Korean, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, French, Spanish and German. • Light and dark theme. Whether you are new to nihonshu or keep a long sake log, Yeoun helps you remember what you liked and why. Sake data: Sakenowa (sakenowa.com). Yeoun is for people of legal drinking age. Please enjoy sake responsibly. Questions or feedback: maumemaum@gmail.comRead more
