An evil steppe blizzard has destroyed the home village of a young girl named Aisulu. Together with her loyal golden eagle Karakus, she sets off across the great steppe — from summer pastures and the foothills of Alatau to singing dunes, a Silk Road caravanserai and an ancient city.
