Calyx Holm

Calyx Holm is a private journal for a herbarium press. A sheet keeps the species, the place and the date. While the plant dries you log each paper change, and when the stem is dry at the node the sheet is ready to mount. Nothing is uploaded. Press holds the journal. Search by species or place, filter by family, and open a sheet with its note and photo. Edit a sheet or remove it. An empty press shows how to lay the first one down. Drying splits the work in two. Sheets still in the blotters sit apart from sheets ready to mount. Log a paper change, then mark a sheet ready when it is dry. Atlas is twelve families. Each plate shows the habit, what belongs on the sheet, and the one thing that usually goes wrong in the press. Open a family and the sheets you already have are listed under it. Drill asks what that family needs. Keep the notes you want to remember. They stay in the journal with the sheets. Field is the camera. Photograph the label or the living plant, look at the picture, and keep it on a sheet. A copy can go into Photos. The picture is not sent anywhere. Settings shows how many sheets are on this iPhone and can put the sample sheets back. Your cards, photos and drying log stay on this iPhone. There is no account and no server.
