Photo3DX turns your pictures into places you can step into — and it is a full file manager as well. Panoramas wrap all the way around you, ordinary photos gain real depth, and the files on your device or in the cloud are as easy to organise as on a computer. Everything runs on device. No account, no upload, no tracking. IMMERSIVE 360 PANORAMAS Open a panorama and the room fades away. Look left, right, up or behind: the image surrounds you completely. Tilt up to a full 90 degrees so you can lie back and look straight at the sky, and the floating controls tilt with the image so they never cover the part you are looking at. SPATIAL PHOTOS WITH REAL DEPTH Any flat photo can become a spatial scene. Depth is computed on device with Apple's ImagePresentationComponent and Spatial3DImage generation, so leaning from side to side reveals true parallax. Spatial photos captured on iPhone or Apple Vision Pro play back in native stereo. FILE MANAGER - Sidebar: On My Apple Vision Pro, the file system root, iCloud Drive and third-party cloud services when the system provides them, any folder you add, and Connect to Computer over an IP address. - A full-path address bar, like Windows Explorer: tap any level to jump there, and Up walks all the way to the file system root. Back and Forward included. - Three view modes: large icons, list, and details (name, date, size, kind), with sorting by name, date, size or kind, plus a hidden items toggle. - Pinch to zoom the icons from very small to very large; when they get small the grid groups itself by folder. - A wide scroll bar on the right: drag anywhere, and it stays exactly where you drop it. - File commands: New Folder, New Text File, Rename, Delete, Cut, Copy, Paste, Copy To…, Move To…, Compress to ZIP, Extract ZIP, Get Info, Favourite and Share. - Drag and drop: drop files in from other apps, and drag files out to them. - Open With: open in the default app just like double-clicking on a computer, or pick an app yourself and remember it as the handler for that file type. - A built-in text viewer for .txt files and the like. PHOTO COLLECTIONS - All Photos gathers the pictures from every location into one grid, showing them as they are read instead of waiting for the whole library. - Recents: the most recently changed files across all locations. - Shared: files other apps send over with Share or Save to Files. PICTURE QUALITY YOU CONTROL - Texture mipmapping. Panorama textures are built with a complete mip chain, so turning your head or zooming no longer shimmers or crawls the way a single-sampled texture does. - Core Image tone controls. Exposure, contrast, saturation, noise reduction and sharpening, applied in the correct order: noise reduction runs after grading, so raising contrast cannot magnify noise again. This is deterministic pixel math, not AI retouching. The same photo always produces the same result, and your original files are never modified. - High-quality Lanczos resampling when a large image has to be scaled. - MetalFX upscaling. Very large panoramas are decoded at half resolution and then upscaled on the GPU with MTLFXSpatialScaler, so an 8000 pixel image opens noticeably faster. Devices without MetalFX fall back to Lanczos automatically. MADE FOR HOW YOU ACTUALLY USE IT - File browser, image viewer and video each get their own window, placed to your right where you expect them. - Pinch to bring up the controls, pinch and drag to turn the view, pinch and pull to zoom. - Lying down? Hold the Digital Crown and everything recenters in front of you. Photo3DX also watches your posture: sit up or lie back and the panorama plus its panels re-aim themselves to your current line of sight, keeping whatever angle you had dialled in. - Dim the surrounding environment anywhere from 0 to 100 percent, straight from the top bar. Thumbnails are cached on device, and you can clear the cache or move it to another folder in Settings.
