BreathGate: App Blocker

Every scroll starts with a reflex. BreathGate puts one calm breath between you and the apps that steal your time. Choose the apps you open on autopilot. The next time you reach for one, BreathGate shows a gentle breath gate instead of the feed. Take a few mindful seconds, then decide: open it for five minutes, or put the phone down. Either way, it's your choice, not a reflex. HOW IT WORKS • Pick distracting apps with Apple's Screen Time • Opening one shows a calm breath gate • Breathe in, hold, breathe out, and notice why you came • Open it for a few minutes, or walk away WHY A BREATH WORKS Cravings to check your phone fade in about ninety seconds. A short pause breaks the habit loop, so you use your phone on purpose, not on impulse. People who pause before opening distracting apps cut their screen time by around 40%. FEATURES • Breath gate for any app or category • "Why are you opening this?" intention check • Focus blocks: no gate, no exceptions, until the timer ends • Routines for deep work and winding down before sleep • Progress: breaths taken, opens avoided and minutes saved • Gentle reminders when you've been scrolling too long PRIVATE BY DESIGN BreathGate uses Apple's Screen Time framework. We never see which apps you use or what you do in them, no account is needed, and your data stays on your iPhone. FREE AND PREMIUM Put up to 3 apps behind the breath gate for free, forever.
