About
A calmer way to read the Jewish Tanakh—wherever you are. Choose Hebrew or English before your first passage, then switch whenever you like. Explore all 24 traditional books of the Torah, Nevi’im and Ketuvim in Jewish order. Both texts are included offline and free to read. The Hebrew text is vocalized Tanach with Nikkud; the English is the public-domain Jewish Publication Society translation of 1917. Search by word or phrase, save a meaningful verse on your device, and begin with a real daily passage. Hebrew search works with or without vowel marks. No account is required to read. Your language preference, saved verses and reading check-ins remain on your device. The Tanakh itself is never hidden behind a membership. Text editions: Tanach with Nikkud and JPS 1917, both marked Public Domain in the per-edition export. Editions can differ in verse numbering. Not affiliated with Sefaria, JPS or tanach.us. The app does not provide halachic rulings or rabbinic advice. Terms of Use (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/Read more
