Phosphor Nine

Fly a vectorised starfighter through ten sectors of arcade combat, then see how far you get once the sectors run out. Two thumbs. One steers, one fires. Swap them to suit your hands, play in portrait or landscape, and chase your best score. BREAK THE FIELD Shatter tumbling rocks, dodge the fast fragments and crack armoured hazards. Red squadrons hunt you from sector two, and a mothership holds the top of the field in sectors three, six and nine. BUILD YOUR SHIP Two permanent upgrades are offered after every sector. Stack shields, range, damage, fire rate and ricochet for the rest of the run. A rare Hull upgrade gives you more health to spend. FIND YOUR FIREPOWER Collect Wide, Rapid and Lance. Raise your shields, trigger a rare expanding Blast, and earn a brief Star drive by keeping a clean streak. PAST THE TENTH Beyond sector ten there are no more level breaks. Space keeps filling and the pressure climbs every ten seconds. Original vectorised graphics, and every sound synthesised on the device as you play.
