FoqariZelvuno is a design studio for sand and water clocks that fits in your pocket. It calculates the hourglass's flow time using the granular flow formula and the water clock's emptying time using Torricelli's law, and shows how the clock's scale becomes uneven and how it is evened out with a constant head. • Hourglass: the neck diameter and the amount of sand give the flow time and mass flow rate (g/s). • Granular flow: the flow increases as the neck diameter to the power of 2.5; the turning error is estimated. • Water clock: the vessel and nozzle diameter and the head lead to the emptying time and the jet velocity v = √(2gh). • Non-linear scale: marks corresponding to equal time intervals become closer together towards the bottom. • Constant head: overflow keeps the head steady, so the marks become evenly spaced. • Calibration: a step-by-step run from drying, weighing and repetitions, plus a materials list and a shareable timing guide.
