Diassmairn

Ever run a boatyard bench before the whistle blows? Diassmairn splits the day into two crews and asks you to keep both running. Morning: pitch bench. Turn the brass dial to bring the ladle's hot pitch up to the scribed mark on each gondola seam tank. Odd benches pour up, even benches siphon down, so read the band before you touch the dial. Sixty-four seam tanks wait across four planks, and a wobbling valve or a linked twin tank shows up the higher you climb. Evening: rivet kegs. Glance at a keg of spilled brass rivets, count them once, then flick the catch tray whose band matches what you saw before the bench gets covered again. Seventy-two spills run from rolling rivets to swapping trays that test how well you counted. Between shifts, the yard book tracks every plank cleared, every spill caught, and your best bench score, with badges for steady hands and quick catches. A single one-time purchase, the Boatyard Ledger, opens every remaining plank and keg and exports the full run book instead of just the last five runs. Two benches, one yard, and a clock that never quite stops.
