Vampe Iclol

Point your camera at a rose window, hubcap, drain cover, flower head, or gear wheel and Vampe Iclol counts its folds, names its symmetry group, and tells you whether it carries mirror lines — in seconds. The fold reader casts up to 720 rays from a centre pin you position on the photograph, builds a radial profile, and runs a circular autocorrelation to score every fold order from 1 to 24. Choose the Edge probe for silhouette shapes or the Tone probe for textured patterns. The result is a precise verdict in group-theory notation — D8 for an eightfold figure with mirrors, C5 for a fivefold figure without — along with spacing error in degrees, mirror score, and a named star polygon where one applies. Overlay the ideal symmetric figure on your photo with the Plate view and spin through each fold order to see exactly where the real object departs from mathematical perfection. Consult the Atlas for illustrated guides to all 24 point groups, 10 rosette families, and 10 named star polygons. Save readings to your Folio, filter by group type, family, or material, and export a signed Fold Sheet to your photo library. Whether you are measuring cathedral glass, counting spokes on a Victorian manhole cover, or identifying the fold order of a wild daisy, Vampe Iclol gives you the tools of a geometer in your pocket.
