About
One line a day. That's all this app asks of you. Open it in the evening, write one sentence about the day, done. After a week, it shows you what you wrote seven days ago while you write today's line. After a month, the line from a month ago joins in. After a year, the one from the same day last year. And so on, one more every year. The page fills up over time instead of staying empty. On paper this has existed for ages, as a five-year diary. There, however, you write into the void for 365 days before the first look back. Here it comes after seven. WRITE FIRST, THEN READ The look back stays folded until your line is written. Then it opens by itself. You can peek beforehand, but you have to mean it. The field is one line high and grows when you need more. At 150 characters it stops, with no counter and no warning. Nothing more goes in. Forgot yesterday? Until noon you can still add or change it. After that, the day stays as it was. WHAT ELSE IS IN A calendar with every entry, by month or a whole year at a glance. A reminder in the evening, at a time you choose. And an export of all your lines as a text file, so your diary belongs to you, not to the app. WHAT'S NOT No account. No subscription, no ads, no in-app purchases. No streaks, no statistics, no reminder that nags. No photos, no mood emojis, no tags. YOUR DATA Your entries live on your iPhone and, if you use iCloud, in your own iCloud account. I can't see them, and neither can anyone else. The app collects no data and contains no trackers. I kept a diary like this on paper for a few years and wanted it back, just without the 365-day run-up. That's why this app exists. EricRead more
