About

Risecat Path turns your iPhone into a complete garden-step planning tool. Survey a sloping bank with nothing more than a straight plank and your phone, then let the app compute the ideal riser height, going, and number of steps — all offline, all in seconds. Lay the plank on the slope and tap Record: the accelerometer reads the tilt angle and locks it once the phone is steady. Work station by station down the bank; Risecat Path builds a full rise-and-fall level book and draws a live long-section as you go. Prefer a tape and a string? Switch to Drop mode and type each measurement by hand instead. When the survey is done, open the Steps tab and watch the step-fit engine find the optimal solution using the classic 2R + G comfort rule. Adjust the riser count with a single tap and a comfort gauge shows you instantly whether the steps will be easy on the knees, good for a loaded barrow, or steep but safe. Once you are happy, peg the design. The Yard tab then produces a full materials take-off — riser units, tread fill, sub-base, footing concrete, spoil and fill — all converted to barrow loads so you know exactly how many trips to the skip and how many bags to order before the first spade goes in. Choose from eight riser materials including brick, oak beam, stone block, and concrete kerb, and six tread finishes from self-binding gravel to flagstone and turf. Photograph the bank before and after work, tick off the kit on your barrow, and when the job is done export a setting-out strip — a scaled drawing with the full step schedule, quantities, and level-book check — straight to your photo library to pin on the shed door.Read more
