About
WearningLords helps you learn words the way they stick: by typing the answer yourself, again and again, over several days. YOUR OWN CARDS • Create topics with your own word pairs — a term and its meaning — and group them into folders. • Give a word several meanings: name one of them and it counts as partly right. • Share topics and folders as simple .json files and import them back. PRACTICE THAT IS FAIR • Practice in both directions: from the term to its meaning or the other way round. • A small typo in a longer word still counts. Notes in brackets are optional, and so are "to", "a" and "the" in English terms. • Not sure? Tap "I Don't Know" to see the answer without guessing. • Skip the words you have already learned, or review them on purpose. LEARNED MEANS LEARNED A word counts as learned only after you answer it correctly on three different days, with no mistakes in between. SEE YOUR PROGRESS • Accuracy, attempts, mistakes and your best streak • Charts of your vocabulary and daily activity • The words that are hardest for you, and the ones you know best For every topic and every folder. READY-MADE ENGLISH VOCABULARY For learners of English: 1,950 English words in 13 themes, from About Me to Society and Modern Issues, with meanings in Russian, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Chinese, Japanese or Korean. The set appears when the app runs in one of these languages. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Everything stays on your device. No account, no ads, no tracking. The app speaks English, Russian, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Chinese, Japanese and Korean, and works on iPhone, iPad and Mac.Read more
