About

Krora helps handspinners keep every bobbin in a lot within a consistent grist — so nothing goes wrong at the plying step. When you spin multiple bobbins for one project, any bobbin that drifted heavier or lighter than the rest creates uneven texture in the finished yarn. Krora tracks each bobbin against your lot's target wraps-per-inch and yards-per-pound, flags anything outside your chosen tolerance band, and shows you exactly when and how your grist tends to drift during a session. Set a target and tolerance for a lot, then work through timed control checks. At each check, photograph your yarn on a scale card and enter your WPI count. Krora records the deviation, displays a split-compare view alongside your reference photo, and marks the bobbin as on track or held back. When the lot is done spinning, all flags surface together in a plying review screen so you can decide which bobbins to release before you ply. Krora also includes a built-in breed reference with typical grist ranges for over a dozen sheep breeds, a fibre batch catalogue that links your raw materials to finished bobbins, and a drift-pattern analysis that aggregates checks across all closed bobbins to reveal where in a spinning session you tend to go high or low. All data stays on your device — no account required.Read more
