About

Recess turns your phone into a whole shelf of board games you already know — and a table to play them on with a friend. Open a table and share the code, or scan a QR square, and you're playing. No account, no sign-up. On the same Wi-Fi or with Bluetooth on, it works without the internet at all. A growing library, two to a table: • Rock Paper Scissors — Rock Paper Scissors, without arguing over who threw late. • Tic-Tac-Toe — Three in a row. That rematch button is hard to resist! • Chess — Play by the full rules with a friend or the robot. Add a clock if you like. • Chinese Chess (Xiangqi) — Play Xiangqi, river and palace included, against a friend or the robot. • Battleship — Hide five ships, call coordinates, and sink the fleet. • Plane Battle — Hide your planes, call coordinates, and find the heads. • Five in a Row — Get five in a row. Make the board bigger when you both agree. • Sudoku — Fill the grid with 1 to 9. Play alone, race a friend, or solve one grid together. • Number Hunt — Both phones show the same scattered numbers. Tap 1, then 2, then 3 — whoever taps first gets the number. • Number Match — Cross out pairs that match or add up to ten. Copy the leftover numbers and keep going. • Dominoes — Match the ends, draw when you can't play, and be first to go out. And Dice for any game at the table: standard, fish-prawn-crab, or d4 to d20, with every phone seeing the same roll. Every game plays against a friend or against the built-in robot, so it's just as good solo. No ads, no accounts, and no tracking across other apps.Read more
