About

Measure your heart rate in 20 seconds. Free, clean and ad-free. No watch, no sign-up. You only need your fingertip and the camera on your iPhone or iPad. HOW IT WORKS Rest your fingertip on the flash and the lens next to it. Each heartbeat slightly changes the color of your fingertip. Pulse Notes reads these tiny changes and works out your pulse in beats per minute. FEATURES • Simple 20-second measurement with a live pulse waveform • Tag each reading as Resting, After Exercise or Other • Live signal quality, so you know when to hold still • History with a 30-day range chart plus your average, lowest and highest resting readings • Export your records as a CSV file to share with your doctor or open in a spreadsheet • New phone? Export from the old one and import on the new one. Nothing is lost • Optional: save each result to Apple Health • Designed for both iPhone and iPad, in portrait and landscape • No flash on your iPad? Just face a bright light • English and Simplified Chinese PRIVATE BY DESIGN • Camera images are processed on your device in real time and are never saved or uploaded • No account, no ads, no tracking, no analytics • Every feature is free. Tips are optional and unlock nothing • Your history stays on your device • Apple Health is only written to, never read, and only if you turn it on TIPS FOR ACCURATE RESULTS • Sit down and relax for a minute first • Cover the lens gently. Don't press hard • Keep still and quiet while measuring IMPORTANT: NOT A MEDICAL DEVICE • Pulse Notes is for general wellness and reference only. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. • Readings can be inaccurate. Movement, finger pressure, cold hands and lighting all affect the result. • A normal reading does not mean your heart is healthy. The app cannot detect heart attacks or irregular heart rhythms such as atrial fibrillation. • Never start, stop or change any treatment or medication based on this app. Always talk to your doctor. • If you have chest pain, trouble breathing, fainting or severe dizziness, call your local emergency number right away.
