Tile Samba

Tile Samba is a single player mahjong tile game with one big twist. Discards never pile up. They ride an eight slot carousel that turns one notch every turn, so a tile you walk past now may be gone by the time you want it. HOW IT PLAYS Draw a tile from the wall, or spend momentum to reach deep into the carousel and take one that is further away. Lay three of a kind or three in sequence to open a group, then keep feeding that group until it reaches seven tiles and becomes a canasta. Empty your hand before the wall runs dry and you close the round with a bonus. Mahjong patterns multiply everything you score. Build a table of all simples, keep every group inside one suit for a pure flush, or stretch a run across all nine ranks for nine gates. The prevailing wind rotates every few turns and pays extra on the suit it favors. Blossoms are wild and worth thirty, but a group holds at most two of them, and never before it already holds three natural tiles. FIVE MODES Carousel Duel is the full ruleset against an AI rival over three rounds, at three skill levels. Fever Rush is a ninety second solo sprint. The wheel spins by itself every few seconds, so only fast melds keep the fever multiplier alive. Dragon Ladder is a nine floor climb with three lives. Every floor sets a score target and a twist such as a shorter wall or a faster wind, and clearing a floor lets you draft a relic that bends the rules for the rest of the run. Daily Seed builds a single round from the current date. The wall, the carousel and the opening hand are identical for everyone who plays that day. Puzzle Lab holds twelve hand crafted positions with one best answer each. Find the highest scoring single turn.
