Have a phone you no longer use? Webcam Security turns it into a security camera for your home or for the place you're staying. Plug it in, point it at the entrance and arm it as you leave. You get a 10, 20 or 30-minute countdown to walk out the door. When someone comes in: • A 15-second siren sounds to scare them off, even with the phone on silent (you can turn it off). • It takes a burst of 3 photos: the first one goes out immediately, then the sharpest. • It records an optional 15-second video, without audio. • It sends the evidence to your Telegram right away, straight from the phone, before anyone can take it. IT LOOKS FOR PEOPLE, NOT SHADOWS Detection runs entirely on the phone. It spots changes in the image, then confirms a person is there with on-device person detection, so shadows, headlights and pets don't set it off. Prefer an alert for any movement? Turn person confirmation off. Three sensitivity levels, rear or front camera. PRIVACY FIRST • No account, no ads, no analytics. • Evidence only leaves the phone to YOUR own Telegram bot, which you create in two minutes with the step-by-step guide. No servers in between. • Your bot's key is stored in the Keychain, only on this phone. • Photos don't go to the Photos app. BUILT FOR DAYS AWAY • Stealth screen: it goes black with brightness at minimum while it watches. Saves battery and doesn't draw attention. • Disarming and silencing the alarm require your 3-digit PIN, which locks after 3 wrong tries. • No internet? Evidence waits in a queue and goes out as soon as the connection is back. • Manages storage by itself: at most 200 items, 500 MB or 14 days. • If the app leaves the screen, it warns you on Telegram and with a notification, and resumes on its own when you come back. GOOD TO KNOW The camera only works while the app is open on screen. That's why Webcam Security is meant to stay plugged in with the app open. Turn on Guided Access (Settings › Accessibility › Guided Access) so nobody can close it. USE IT RESPONSIBLY Webcam Security is a personal tool, not a professional alarm service: it doesn't call the police and detection can fail.
