Langsat Landing

Description A narrow stair between two kitchens stops at a landing painted the color of ripe langsat. Baskets wait on the treads. Nothing here asks for an account. The riser count is the quiet job. Each step posts a number. Langsat, canistel, pulasan, soursop, plantain, bitter melon, daikon, pandan, and cassava cake each carry a small weight. Tap a set that adds up to the posted number, then lock the step. You do not need every parcel. Six steps finish a climb. Three wrong locks send you back down. The banister pass is the quicker job. An order names one parcel. Others slide down three lanes. Shift the basket and catch only the one that was asked for. A wrong catch, or a named parcel that reaches the floor, spends a cord. Three cords end the pass. The stair gets faster as the streak grows.
