About

Make room for Scripture and prayer before your next scroll. VersePause puts a short reading or prayer between you and the apps that pull you in. Pick the apps you want to pause. When you reach for one, VersePause offers you a one, three, five, or ten minute practice. Finish it, and your apps open. It is a small piece of friction, placed where your attention actually goes. HOW IT WORKS • Choose the apps you want to pause. VersePause uses Apple's own Screen Time controls to shield them. • Open a shielded app and VersePause invites you into a timed Scripture reading or prayer. • Complete the practice and your apps unlock for the rest of the day, or earn a set amount of usage time. • Change your mind any time. Pause blocking until midnight, or turn it off entirely, without waiting for permission. SCRIPTURE THAT IS ALREADY THERE VersePause includes a curated collection of ten chapters from the World English Bible, arranged by topic and fully readable offline. Search by reference or by what you are carrying that day. Save the passages you return to. The reader is plain and unhurried: adjustable text size, a visible verse position, and no commentary competing with the text. Close the app mid-chapter and it remembers exactly where you were. PRAYER WITHOUT A STOPWATCH IN YOUR FACE Prayer sessions run on a quiet timer that keeps counting whether or not the screen is on, and survives a restart. Nothing buzzes at you. You mark the session complete yourself. HONEST ABOUT WHAT IT IS VersePause is a rhythm, not a lock. You can always turn it off. It is meant for someone who wants a reason to stop, not a cage. • No account. No sign up. No email required. • No analytics, no advertising, no tracking of any kind. • Nothing leaves your iPhone. VersePause makes no network requests at all. • Works completely offline, including on a phone in airplane mode. INCLUDED FOR EVERYONE • The full Scripture collection, search, and saved passages • Daily blocking for one app of your choosing • One, three, five, and ten minute reading sessions • Streaks and practice history • Pause and disable controls VERSEPAUSE PLUS • Prayer practice • Block multiple apps at once, and whole app categories • Earn 15, 30, or 60 minutes of app usage by completing a practice • Monthly or annual subscription A NOTE ON SCREEN TIME VersePause asks for Screen Time permission so it can shield the apps you choose. Apple hands app selections to VersePause as anonymous tokens, so the app cannot see which apps you picked, and neither can we. VersePause never watches what you do inside other apps.
