Speak a Japanese sentence and see it in English, Italian, Spanish and German at once, in large, easy-to-read type. Tap the play button on a card to hear it spoken. - Speak, get 4 languages Press the record button and speak Japanese. On-device speech recognition transcribes it, and the moment you finish, all four translations appear. Translation uses iOS's built-in Translation framework. Download the language data once and it works offline. Big, readable text. Tap the play button to hear the phrase in that language. - Save it, look back at night Every phrase is saved by day. Search them, or export as text, Markdown or CSV. At the end of the day you get a short story built from that day's phrases, plus a 5-question quiz (fill in the blank, pick the meaning). Free: once a week. Pro: every day. On devices with Apple Intelligence the story is written on the device. On other devices, or if that fails, only the day's Japanese and translations (text only) are sent to our server and on to an AI model. No audio or device identifiers are sent, and you can turn this off in Settings. Tap "Explain" on a card and an AI breaks the sentence into words, shows polite and casual variants, and adds a one-line grammar note (free: 3 per day). - Free and Pro Speak, translate, listen and save are free with no limit on the number of recordings. Pro gives you a story and quiz every day and unlimited export.
