About

Focus for 25 minutes and reach the shrine 1.7 km from home. Study Race is a study timer that turns the time you spend at your desk into a journey from where you are right now. Open the app, pick a destination, pick a length, and start with one tap. ■ Your study time walks you to real places nearby The app suggests shrines, parks, museums and landmarks within walking distance of where you are. Pick one and a walking route is drawn. While you focus, you move along that route at walking pace (4 km/h). Stay quiet at your desk and you move fast; voices or TV sound slow you down; start walking and you stop. If you stop early, the distance you covered is kept and the next session continues from there. When you arrive, a stamp is added with a street-level photo (Look Around) or a Wikipedia photo and summary, and the destination becomes your next starting point. Your journey stays on the map of your own town. ■ Bakeries and cafés along the way Bakeries, cafés, parks and shops along the route are picked up, and the ones you passed are listed when you finish. Tap one to open its Apple Maps place card (photos, hours, ratings). Note: place information comes from Apple Maps and Wikipedia. Wikipedia photos and text are shown with attribution. Note: in areas with few places nearby, the app widens the search or lets you pick a destination on the map. ■ Your device finds what broke your focus From the sound around you and your device's motion, the app detects on-device what may have broken your focus. Placing the phone face down and leaving it alone counts as evidence of focus and speeds you up. All detection happens on your device. No audio is ever saved or sent anywhere. Note: detection only knows "that kind of sound happened" or "the device moved." Reading aloud or an online class may count as a voice. Adjust the sensitivity, or correct it with one tap. ■ Afterwards: a replay against your past self and history's greats When a session ends you can watch a replay alongside your previous self, your personal-best self, and 8 historical figures including Edison, Aristotle, and Marcus Aurelius. A quote from one of them greets you at each arrival. Note: each figure's running style is a creative interpretation based on their character, not a historical record. ■ 5 / 25 / 50 / 90 minutes From a short spare moment to a long, focused stretch. ■ Works on iPhone and iPad ■ Things that help you focus - 22 ambient BGM tracks (synthesized on-device) - A task field where you can jot down what you're working on - Adjustable detection sensitivity (relaxed / standard / strict) ■ What you'll know when you finish Not just how far you walked, but when and what was detected. ■ Privacy - No account required - Records are stored on your device only - Microphone audio is never saved or sent - Location is used once, to set the starting point of your journey. Your movement is never tracked. It is sent to Apple's map service and Wikipedia to find nearby places, never to the developer's servers, and never stored. - The app works even if you deny microphone, motion or location permission (without location you can pick a start point on the map) ■ Study Race Pro The timer, detection, journeys, arrivals and replays are free to use. Pro unlocks all 8 historical figures, your personal-best self, all 4 courses, all 22 BGM tracks, the journey route map, Look Around at arrivals, and a weekly focus report (focus by day and hour, what broke your focus, and week-over-week change). - Monthly and annual plans (see in-app for local prices) - 7-day free trial included - Billed to your Apple ID - Renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends - Manage or cancel anytime from device Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions Privacy Policy: https://legal-pages-hiros-projects-fdd12c60.vercel.app/privacy Support: https://legal-pages-hiros-projects-fdd12c60.vercel.app/supportRead more
