About
MileageClaim keeps the mileage log the IRS asks for. Start recording once and your drives are captured in the background, valued at the standard mileage rate for the day you drove, and ready as a monthly PDF or CSV. DRIVES RECORD THEMSELVES Tap Start recording and MileageClaim watches for driving in the background. A drive opens when you are moving at driving speed and closes after you have been parked for three minutes, so a red light or a drive-through line never splits a trip. A lamp at the top of the screen tells you plainly whether it is recording, ready, or off, and green means recording and nothing else. CLOSING THE APP STOPS IT Swipe MileageClaim away and recording stops, and the location arrow goes with it. Open it again when you want it back on, or tap Stop recording any time. ONE TAP TO CLASSIFY Every new drive waits in Review. Mark it Business, Personal, Medical or Charity, and give a claimed drive its reason with one tap on a reason you have used before. The dashboard counts what still needs you, so the gaps show up this week and not in April. VALUED AT THE RIGHT RATE Each drive is valued at the IRS standard mileage rate in force on the day it was driven, including mid-year changes such as July 2026. Business, medical and moving, and charity rates are built in, and new rates arrive without an app update when the IRS announces them. If your company reimburses at its own rate, set it for business miles. A LOG THAT SHOWS ITS WORK Distances are logged in whole miles, with the exact measured figure kept beside them. Correct a drive to your odometer and the measurement is kept too. Drives you enter by hand are marked as entered, never passed off as measured, and an interrupted recording says so instead of inventing the missing stretch. FORGOT YOUR PHONE? Add a drive by hand from two addresses and MileageClaim works out the driving distance with Apple Maps, with a there-and-back switch. Or just type the miles. THE MONTHLY REPORT Pick a month and see total miles, miles by purpose, claimable miles and what they are worth, plus what the log says about itself: drives corrected by hand, entered by hand, interrupted, or still missing a purpose or reason. Export it as a PDF headed with your business name and address, or as a CSV for your accountant or spreadsheet. VEHICLES, THE WAY THE FORMS ASK Add each vehicle with the date it was placed in service and its odometer at the start and end of the year, the figures Schedule C and Form 4562 ask for. New drives attach to your default vehicle automatically, and removing a vehicle never deletes its drives. HELP, A TOUR, AND A SAY IN WHAT'S NEXT A short tour shows you around on day one; skip it or replay it from Help. Help answers common questions and puts support one tap away. In the suggestion box, post ideas and vote; the most-voted get built first. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account and no sign-up. Your drives, routes and log stay on your iPhone and are never sent to us. Only what you post or vote on in the suggestion box leaves the phone, tied to a random install ID, never your name. No ads, no analytics, no tracking, nothing sold. Prefer not to share your location at all? Choose By hand only and the app never asks for it. PRICING MileageClaim Annual is $39.99 a year and starts with 3 days free. It renews automatically each year unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date; manage or cancel it in your Apple ID settings. If your subscription ends, everything you recorded stays readable and exportable, and nothing is deleted. Only new drives stop until you subscribe again. MileageClaim helps you keep records. It is not tax advice; check with your tax professional about what you can deduct.
