About
Know what to set aside for your quarterly federal taxes — in one screen, no spreadsheet, no accountant. TaxCadence estimates your quarterly federal payment from three things you already know: what you expect to earn, what you expect to spend on the business, and how you file. It applies the same self-employment tax, federal income tax, qualified business income (QBI) deduction and Additional Medicare Tax rules the IRS publishes for 2026. FREE, AND ACTUALLY USEFUL Enter income, expenses and filing status, and get your estimated quarterly payment straight away. The four IRS due dates for the year stay on screen, with the next one counted down in days. No account, no login, no trial clock running in the background. TAXCADENCE PRO — YEARLY SUBSCRIPTION • Save each quarter and see the year in one place • A running total of what you have paid against what you owe so far • A reminder three days before each IRS quarterly due date ON IPHONE AND IPAD On iPad, the calculator's inputs and answer sit side by side, and History shows the year beside its quarters. HELP AND IDEAS A short tour on first open, answers to common questions, and a suggestion box where you can vote on what gets built next. WHY NOT A SPREADSHEET OR A FREE WEB CALCULATOR A web calculator forgets everything the moment the tab closes. A spreadsheet is one more thing to keep up. TaxCadence remembers the numbers you entered, keeps the year's running total, and tells you a deadline is coming before it arrives. YOUR NUMBERS STAY ON YOUR PHONE No account. No bank linking. Your income, expenses and History stay on the device and are never sent anywhere. The only thing that leaves it is an idea you choose to post in the suggestion box. WHAT IT DOES NOT DO TaxCadence estimates federal quarterly payments only. It does not calculate state or local tax, does not handle itemized deductions or credits beyond the standard deduction and the QBI deduction, and does not file anything or send a payment on your behalf. It is a calculator, not a tax advisor — for anything beyond a quick estimate, talk to a licensed CPA. Built for freelancers, 1099 contractors, gig workers and solo consultants who owe the IRS four times a year and would rather know the number than guess at it.Read more

Now on iPad, with help built in. TaxCadence runs on iPad, with the calculator's inputs and answer side by side and History's year beside its quarters. There's a short tour on first open (replay it from Settings, Help), answers to common questions, and a suggestion box where you can post and vote on what gets built next. One correction to the math: the Head of Household 32% bracket now starts at $201,750, per the IRS's 2026 figures. It had used the Single threshold ($201,775), which understated the year's tax by at most $2 for Head of Household filers above it. Profits too small to owe self-e…
