Speech Beach is a practice tool for people who stutter. Put on headphones, start talking, and hear your own voice played back with a short delay (Delayed Auditory Feedback, DAF) and, if you like, a slightly shifted pitch (Frequency-Altered Feedback, FAF). Many people find that this kind of altered feedback helps them slow down and speak more smoothly. ADAPTIVE MODE Speech Beach listens to how you are speaking. When it detects likely disfluencies, such as prolonged sounds, repeated starts or blocks, or when you speed up, it gradually increases the delay.
