The plush toy is the body. The phone is the brain. Mymiks is a new generation of "phygital" plush toys, an innovative combination of soft physical plushies and interactive artificial intelligence. The concept is designed to transform classic play into a responsive, educational, and social experience. Mymiks are plush toys your child raises while learning about AI through play. The personality lives in this app, and the AI runs locally on the phone. YOU NEED A MYMIK There is a coin hidden in a pocket on the back of each plush toy. Scan it with the app to bring your Mymik to life. The app is free. You can get the plush toy at www.mymiks.com. HOW TO PLAY Feed it. Talk to it using the keyboard or your voice. Make sure it's doing well. Mymiks learn your relationship, and evolve as you chat. Take it outside and meet other Mymiks nearby over Bluetooth. CHOOSE A PERSONALITY Spark: Spontaneous and curious, always jumping to the next idea. Dream: Creative and observant, takes time before speaking up. Glue: Warm and responsive, still learning that its own feelings matter. Challenge: A bit sharper around the edges, for kids ready for a little pushback. Each personality has its own strengths, weaknesses, and things it's working on. PRIVACY Conversations stay on the phone. We have no servers storing them, no user accounts, and no profile of your child. The app only listens when your child presses the talk button. If you want to report a response from your Mymik that doesn't seem right, simply send it to us using the dedicated reporting button in the app. Speech recognition relies on the phone's built-in system. If your phone cannot handle the language offline, the app will ask you first and explain where the audio is sent. You decide. Either way, your Mymik will understand what your child types. No ads. No subscription. No in-app purchases. BEFORE YOU START The first setup requires an internet connection and a bit of patience. The app downloads the language model it runs on, which is around 3 GB. Connect your phone to Wi-Fi and let it finish. After that, conversations run completely offline. Your Mymik speaks Norwegian or English. More languages will be added over time. ABOUT THE AI Mymiks are characters in an app, and they make things up. Children should know the difference between them and a real flesh-and-blood friend. That is the core purpose of Mymiks: children get to experience what AI is good at, where it trips up, and when it shouldn't be trusted.
