About
Fachwerk is a tile-laying game for tablets and phones – and above all a game for the table: up to four people play on ONE tablet, each corner rotated toward its player, everyone placing at the same time. HOW IT PLAYS Each round the guildmaster names a resource. Everyone receives it and places it on their own 4x4 board. Complete the pattern of a card on the table and you trade those resources for a building. Every building scores differently: the croft wants provisions, the mead hall compares itself with your neighbour, the moongrain oven likes red roofs. In the end the densest, cleverest hamlet wins – empty squares cost you. ONE DEVICE OR MANY Two players need one device. With three or four the tablet becomes the table – or everyone takes their own device: the host opens a room, the others join by scanning a QR code. The devices talk to each other directly, with no account and no sign-up. Playing on your own device keeps your monument truly secret. ALONE, AND NEW EVERY DAY Solo against the rank table, with a resource deck instead of a guildmaster. The daily challenge deals the same cards to everyone in the world – sharing your score shares a game that can be compared. TWO WORLDS Dragon realm or Mars colony: same rules, own names, own texts, own artwork. Elfwood and moongrain become regolith and ice, the hamlet becomes a colony. MORE BOARD, MORE GAME Countryside plays on a taller 5x6 board with a river, mountains and a lake that nobody can build on – and three waterfront cards that score next to them. The dragon flight sends a dragon with three slings across the land: build an eyrie and you can load a resource instead of placing it. FOR NEWCOMERS Learning mode walks you through a whole game with bubbles, suggests squares and says why. After that you need no manual. FREE AND FULL Free: solo, daily challenge, learning mode, two players on one device – and joining any room, even a table of four. The full game (a single purchase, no subscription) adds three and four players on one device, own devices, the Countryside board and the dragon flight. WITHOUT ANYTHING THAT GETS IN THE WAY No account, no ads, no tracking, no analytics. Plays offline. Eight languages: German, English, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Polish.Read more
Fachwerk is a tile-laying game for tablets and phones – and above all a game
for the table: up to four people play on ONE tablet, each corner rotated
toward its player, everyone placing at the same time.
HOW IT PLAYS
Each round the guildmaster names a resource. Everyone receives it and places
it on their own 4x4 board. Complete the pattern of a card on the table and you
trade those resources for a building. Every building scores differently: the
croft wants provisions, the mead hall compares itself with your neighbour, the
moongrain oven likes red roofs. In the end the densest, cleverest hamlet wins
– empty squares cost you.
ONE DEVICE OR MANY
Two players need one device. With three or four the tablet becomes the table –
or everyone takes their own device: the host opens a room, the others join by
scanning a QR code. The devices talk to each other directly, with no account
and no sign-up. Playing on your own device keeps your monument truly secret.
ALONE, AND NEW EVERY DAY
Solo against the rank table, with a resource deck instead of a guildmaster.
The daily challenge deals the same cards to everyone in the world – sharing
your score shares a game that can be compared.
TWO WORLDS
Dragon realm or Mars colony: same rules, own names, own texts, own artwork.
Elfwood and moongrain become regolith and ice, the hamlet becomes a colony.
MORE BOARD, MORE GAME
Countryside plays on a taller 5x6 board with a river, mountains and a lake
that nobody can build on – and three waterfront cards that score next to them.
The dragon flight sends a dragon with three slings across the land: build an
eyrie and you can load a resource instead of placing it.
FOR NEWCOMERS
Learning mode walks you through a whole game with bubbles, suggests squares
and says why. After that you need no manual.
FREE AND FULL
Free: solo, daily challenge, learning mode, two players on one device – and
joining any room, even a table of four. The full game (a single purchase, no
subscription) adds three and four players on one device, own devices, the
Countryside board and the dragon flight.
