About

One number every morning: how recovered you are, from 0 to 100. Push reads the night your watch already recorded and works the whole thing out on your iPhone. Nothing is uploaded. Every feature is free. WHY ONE NUMBER Most apps hand you a wall of charts and leave the reading to you. Push does the reading. Overnight heart rate variability, resting heart rate, sleep, breathing rate and blood oxygen go in, all of it read from the Health app, none of it measured by Push itself, and one score with one word comes out: Reset, Ease In, Steady or Primed, plus a line or two on why. Then it shows its working. Open the score and you get every signal that moved it, which way it went, and how many points it was worth. Nothing is a black box. COMPARED TO YOU, NOT TO A POPULATION Every signal is judged against your own rolling 14-night baseline, never against an average of strangers. A 40 ms HRV night is an ordinary night for one person and a poor one for another, and only your own history knows which. Push waits seven nights before showing a first score, because a baseline built from three nights produces a confident-looking number that means nothing. If a signal is missing, your watch has no blood oxygen sensor, or a sensor simply did not fire, its weight is shared out across the signals you do have. It is never counted as a zero. THE DAY, NOT JUST THE MORNING Your morning score is a ceiling. As you train, Push works out the load from your workouts with the published Bannister TRIMP formula and eases the score down, measured against your own ordinary day, so a rest day costs you nothing at all. WHAT ELSE IS IN THERE • Sleep: duration, efficiency, stages and timing, each against your own nights, with an optional sleep goal of your own • Strain: today's training load, and how it sits against your normal • Stress: a day curve derived from heart rate and HRV. A wellness signal, not a measurement • Biological Age: an estimate from cardio fitness, heart rate, sleep and walking speed. An estimate, never a clinical result • Vitals: thirty-odd further metrics from the Health app, charted and explained • Calendar: every scored day drawn as its own arc, and this week against last • Coach: ask questions about your own data. It runs on your device; nothing is sent anywhere • Watch app and complication: the score on your wrist • Two optional daily reminders, both off until you turn them on THE WHOLE METHOD IS IN THE APP Under You › How It Works, Push publishes the entire method: every input, every weight, the baseline window, the seven-night rule, the anchoring, both Bannister coefficients and the Tanaka maximum-heart-rate constants. Those screens are generated from the code itself, so they cannot drift from what the app actually does. PRIVACY There is no networking code in Push at all. No account, no sign-in, no server, no analytics, no advertising identifier, no third-party libraries of any kind. Your health data is read from the Health app, used on your iPhone, and stays there. Push never writes anything back into the Health app, and nothing is stored in iCloud. FREE, WITH ONE HONEST EXCEPTION Every feature is free. No subscription, no trial, no ads, nothing locked. There is an optional tip jar if you'd like to support development. A tip unlocks nothing, and Push works identically without one. No account either. Push never asks who you are. WHAT YOU NEED An iPhone running iOS 18 or later, and an Apple Watch Series 4 or later worn overnight with sleep tracking on. Turning on Sleep Focus also lets the watch record wrist temperature, which Push shows from your first night. Push is a general wellness feature, not a substitute for professional medical judgment, and does not account for existing conditions or medications.
