About

Anchor is a daily support tool for people recovering from an eating disorder. It accompanies professional treatment; it never replaces it. WHAT IT DOES • Routines that hold you: meals, rest, movement. Confirm with a tap; if a day doesn't go to plan, that's okay. • "Now": one door for the hard moment. Ride the urge (fifteen minutes, accompanied), breathe with guidance (no breath holds), let an emotion pass, or open your safety plan. • Emotional check-in without numbers: how you are and, if you want, what's underneath. • Strategies grounded in DBT, CBT, ACT and self-compassion, with their evidence base in plain sight. • Plan ahead: trips, exams, schedule changes, with a minimum viable routine. • Progress without scores: the shape of your week, not a grade. • Honest psychoeducation: what is proven and what isn't. WHAT IT NEVER DOES • No calorie or macro counting. • No weight or BMI tracking. • No streaks, rankings or badges. • No red/green colour coding, no guilt-tripping tone. • No AI chat of any kind. PRIVACY Your data lives on your device and, if you choose, in your private iCloud. Anchor has no servers, no analytics and no ads. Health data (sleep, activity) is only read if you turn it on, and never leaves the phone. If you are in danger or your own thoughts scare you, Anchor takes you to your safety plan and to your region's helplines in two taps. Anchor is meant to be used alongside a treatment team. It is not a medical device or a treatment.Read more

  1. Version 0.1.4First seen · 29 Sept 2026

Anchor now speaks French, for France and Canada. The help resources at the start of the app now follow your region: before, they showed Spain's to everyone. ANAD (United States) now says that it closes on public holidays. On iPad, Anchor looks right and scrolls properly, in a window or stretched wide: the top bar no longer sits under the window controls, and text no longer runs from edge to edge. The welcome screen now scrolls, so you can reach everything even on a short screen or with large text.
