About
Your phone has a bedtime now. Trade doomscrolling for a wind-down routine you actually enjoy. YOUR GOAL: A WIND-DOWN THAT STICKS Locking apps on its own rarely lasts. Replacing the habit does. Cubby doesn't ask you to put the phone down and stare at the ceiling. It asks you to do a few small things you already like, every night, until that is how your evenings end. Every task keeps its own streak, and every night you stick to your routine, your cub sleeps well. Cubby is a bedtime app blocker with a small bear who winds down with you. Pick a bedtime and the apps that keep you up. When wind-down starts, those apps lock and your evening routine begins: a short list of things you like doing before bed. How well your cub sleeps depends on you: the more of your routine you finish, the better he sleeps. In the morning, you see how he slept. HOW IT WORKS 1. Set your night. Choose a bedtime, a wake time and how long you want to wind down. Then name your cub. 2. Pick the apps that keep you up. They lock when wind-down starts and stay locked until you wake. The rest of your phone works as usual. 3. Wind down with your routine. Read a few pages, stretch, make tea, journal. Pick from suggestions or write your own, and choose which nights each task repeats. Hold a task to mark it done. Every task you finish helps your cub sleep better. 4. See how your cub slept. How your cub sleeps is up to you. Finish most of your routine and he wakes up well rested. Finish some and he wakes up tired. Skip it and he wakes up exhausted. TOOLS FOR THE LAST HOUR - Journal: a few gentle prompts to clear your head before bed. - Breathe: a guided pace to slow everything down. - Alphabet: an A to Z thinking game for a busy mind. - Count sheep: exactly what it sounds like. KEEP THE USEFUL PARTS OF YOUR PHONE Only the apps you pick lock. Calls, maps, music, podcasts, alarms and anything else you leave out stay available all night. Nothing changes during the day, and you can take weekends off. NEED IN? YOU CAN STILL GET THROUGH A locked app is a pause, not a wall. Take a breath, decide if you really need it, then unlock it for 1, 2, 5 or 10 minutes. It wakes your cub, and the morning will show it. SEE YOUR NIGHTS ADD UP Nights puts every night on a calendar, with the tasks you finished, how your cub slept, and your unlock attempts, unlocks and time on locked apps. Insights shows how many tasks you finish a night, your most completed task and the one you miss most. CUBBY PLUS Cubby requires a Cubby Plus subscription, billed monthly or yearly.
