Cover Manager for Education

Cover Manager brings your school's staff-absence and cover workflow to iPhone and iPad. It is the companion app to the Cover Manager web platform used by your school, and it signs you in with the same school Microsoft account — there is nothing new to set up. FOR TEACHERS AND SUPPORT STAFF • Request cover in three quick steps: choose the date and the sessions (or the whole day), pick a reason, add an optional note, and submit. • See who will approve your request before you send it. • Follow every request from "Awaiting approval" to "Approved" or "Declined", with the decision and any allocated cover shown in one place. • A clear Home screen shows today's absence, what is coming up and your recent requests. FOR LINE MANAGERS AND HEADTEACHERS • Review pending requests with the date, sessions, reason and any notes. • Approve with one tap, or decline with a reason that goes straight back to the member of staff. FOR COVER MANAGERS • See at a glance which sessions still need cover, which are allocated and which have a suggestion ready. • Read a plain-language "Why?" for every automatic suggestion — availability, workload this week and term, and department fit. • Approve a suggestion, choose someone else from the eligible candidates, dismiss it, or approve everything that is ready in one go. BUILT FOR SCHOOLS • Your school's own installation: each school's data stays on that school's Cover Manager, exactly as on the web. • Sign in with your school Microsoft account through a secure system browser window; the app never sees your password. • Your school's colours and name appear throughout. • Designed for accessibility: Dynamic Type, VoiceOver labels on every status, high-contrast colours and Reduce Motion support. • No adverts, no tracking, no analytics SDKs. REQUIREMENTS Cover Manager is for staff at schools that use the Cover Manager platform. You need your school code (from your school office or IT team) and your school Microsoft account. The app cannot create accounts.
