About
FODMAP is not a matter of good foods and bad foods. How much you eat, what you eat it with, and your own tolerance all change the answer. FodWise is built around that idea rather than around a list. A diary that earns its keep. Log what you ate and how you felt, in a few taps. FodWise looks for what appeared before your more difficult days, group by group, and says plainly when it does not yet have enough to go on, which early on is the honest answer. No pattern is presented as a cause. Portions, not labels. Move the slider on any food and the guidance moves with it. See the amount where a FODMAP group starts to be worth watching, and the amount where it becomes notable, instead of a red or green dot that cannot tell you either. Meals, not ingredients. Several modest portions of foods sharing one FODMAP group can add up to something none of them would reach alone. FodWise shows you that stacking as you build a meal, and names the ingredient to make smaller. Reintroduction, properly. Plan a challenge one group at a time, log each day's portion, and see the trend in your own entries afterwards. Skipped days are recorded as skipped rather than quietly counted as good ones. Scanning that works offline. Read a product's ingredient list with the camera and have the terms that matter flagged: inulin, chicory root, the polyols, and the many words that mean onion. The text is read on your device, not uploaded. Swaps worth making. Sixty practical substitutions with the reason each one works, in the context you actually need it, from cooking onion-free to ordering coffee. Learn, in plain language. Sixteen original articles on what FODMAPs are, why portion size matters, what stacking is, how the phases work, how to read a label, how to eat out, and what affects gut symptoms that is not food at all. Private by construction. No account. No sign-in. No analytics. No server. Your diary lives on your device, and you can export all of it or delete all of it whenever you like. The one optional online feature, looking up a scanned barcode, sends the barcode and nothing else, and can be switched off. About the food library. FodWise is a diary and a reasoning tool first. Its food figures are FodWise's own illustrative examples, chosen to show how guidance shifts with portion size, and they are labelled as sample data inside the app. They are not laboratory measurements, and they are not a substitute for tested values from a clinical source. FodWise is educational and informational only. It does not diagnose any condition, it cannot tell you that a food caused a symptom, and it does not replace a doctor or a registered dietitian. A low-FODMAP diet is best done with one. FodWise is not affiliated with Monash University and does not reproduce their FODMAP test data.Read more
