About

Let's cook what we already have! U-ATE opens on the dishes you can make right now - not a feed, not an empty search box. Tell it what is on your shelf and 652 illustrated recipes sort themselves by how much of each one you can already cover. "Ready right now, nothing to buy" sits at the top. What you are short of sits underneath, with the shopping list already written. Everything runs on your phone. No account, no sign-in, no subscriptions, no ads, no tracking, and no connection needed once it is installed - on a plane, in a basement kitchen, or on a phone with no data left, all of it still works. WHAT IS INSIDE - 652 recipes across 50 cuisines, every one of them illustrated - 675 ingredients with their own pages: how to buy it, how to keep it, what it does - A pantry that ranks every recipe by how much of it you can already cover - Cook-along: one step at a time, with each timer already set for you - Measures: cups, grams, ounces and degrees converted on the spot - and by ingredient, because a cup of flour and a cup of honey are not the same weight - Substitutions that change the recipe properly: the ratio, and what it does to the result - Allergens, diets and intolerances filtered across every dish - Nutrition on every card, quoted with its source - A shopping list that builds itself out of the gaps - Scale any recipe to any number of people - Technique guides written the way a good cook would show you at the stove - Your own recipes, typed in or imported, with the nutrition worked out for you BUILT FOR A REAL KITCHEN Timers you can start without leaving the step they belong to. Amounts written the way a cook says them - 4 tablespoons of butter, not 56 grams - with the grams still there when you want them. Press and hold any amount in a recipe to convert it. Every dish tells you what it will cost per serving, how many pans it dirties, and how much of it is hands-on rather than waiting. MADE TO SUIT YOU U-ATE honors Reduced Motion. Pages stay zoomable, with an optional size lock if you would rather they did not move under your hands. The bottom bar rearranges so the four things you use most are the four you can reach. And if you want the kitchen to look like yours, the Style page offers a vast configuration of finishes, colors, scenes and sounds as one-time purchases - the app is complete without a single one of them. HONEST ABOUT ITSELF Every picture is an illustration drawn from its own recipe, and the app says so under every one - your dish will look like yours. Nutrition figures are reference values for a typical adult, not a prescription, and nothing in the app is medical advice. Times and temperatures are a guide; your kitchen is the authority. PRIVACY, PLAINLY U-ATE has no accounts, no analytics and no advertising. Your pantry, your allergies, your taste settings and everything you have cooked stay on your device. We never receive them, so there is nothing for us to sell, share or lose. Scanning a barcode asks Open Food Facts and the USDA's FoodData Central what that number is, and sends the barcode and nothing else. Every recipe, every ingredient page and every tool unlocked from the first launch. The Style page sells optional one-time finishes, colors, scenes and sounds; they just change how the app looks and nothing about the cooking!Read more
