About
Point your camera at your food. CAL5 tells you the calories, protein, carbs and fat — in seconds, without weighing anything or searching a database. WHY IT'S DIFFERENT Most photo calorie trackers get the food right and the portion wrong. They log everything as "1 serving" and quietly understate your day. CAL5 is built around fixing that. • Every ingredient gets an estimated weight in grams — and you can edit it. Change 60 g of chicken to 200 g and the calories rescale instantly. • Ate half the plate? Log half. Quarter-serving portions, not whole ones. • Got it wrong? Say so in your own words and it re-estimates, keeping the weights you set by hand. • Every estimate carries a confidence rating, so a clearly framed single plate and a guess at a shared table don't look identical. • The same photo always gives the same answer. No re-scanning until you get a number you like. BUILT FOR MALAYSIAN FOOD Nasi lemak, char kuey teow, roti canai, teh tarik. Local dishes that aren't in any Western food database work here, because CAL5 describes what it sees rather than searching a list. The app is fully translated into English, Malay and Chinese. YOU DON'T NEED A PHOTO • Type what you ate — "two roti canai and a teh tarik" — and it works it out • Re-log anything from your food library in one tap • Add a food by hand, once, and keep it • Scan a packaged product's barcode, or photograph the nutrition label TRACK WHAT MATTERS • Daily calories and macros with clear progress rings • Fibre, sugar and sodium, when the food supports a real estimate • Targets calculated from your body and your goal, not a generic 2,000 • Weight chart with trend over 90 days, 6 months, a year • Before/after progress photos, side by side • Water intake and a logging streak • Badges for the milestones that actually took effort EXERCISE, WITHOUT THE GUESSWORK Log a run or a lifting session and it's estimated on your phone. Or describe a workout in words and let the app work it out. Crediting that burn back to your daily budget is off by default and yours to switch on — burn estimates are the least certain number in the app, and we'd rather say so than quietly hand you another 400 calories. BUILDING MUSCLE, NOT JUST LOSING WEIGHT Set a gaining goal and the app stops treating a surplus as a failure. Going over your target turns green, not red. YOUR DATA STAYS ON YOUR PHONE No account. No sign-up. No cloud sync. Your food diary, exercise log, weight history and progress photos live on your device and nowhere else. Photos and typed descriptions are sent for analysis and are not stored. Barcode lookups and food searches go directly to Open Food Facts. There are no ads, no analytics and no trackers. HONEST ABOUT ACCURACY Calorie and burn figures are AI estimates, not laboratory measurements. They're a consistent yardstick, not exact truth. CAL5 is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition, and nothing in it is medical advice. If you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or are managing your weight under supervision, talk to a qualified health professional before changing what you eat. CAL5 is not intended for anyone under 18.Read more
Point your camera at your food. CAL5 tells you the calories, protein, carbs and
fat — in seconds, without weighing anything or searching a database.
WHY IT'S DIFFERENT
Most photo calorie trackers get the food right and the portion wrong. They log
everything as "1 serving" and quietly understate your day. CAL5 is built around
fixing that.
• Every ingredient gets an estimated weight in grams — and you can edit it.
Change 60 g of chicken to 200 g and the calories rescale instantly.
• Ate half the plate? Log half. Quarter-serving portions, not whole ones.
• Got it wrong? Say so in your own words and it re-estimates, keeping the
weights you set by hand.
• Every estimate carries a confidence rating, so a clearly framed single plate
and a guess at a shared table don't look identical.
• The same photo always gives the same answer. No re-scanning until you get a
number you like.
BUILT FOR MALAYSIAN FOOD
Nasi lemak, char kuey teow, roti canai, teh tarik. Local dishes that aren't in
any Western food database work here, because CAL5 describes what it sees rather
than searching a list. The app is fully translated into English, Malay and
Chinese.
YOU DON'T NEED A PHOTO
• Type what you ate — "two roti canai and a teh tarik" — and it works it out
• Re-log anything from your food library in one tap
• Add a food by hand, once, and keep it
• Scan a packaged product's barcode, or photograph the nutrition label
TRACK WHAT MATTERS
• Daily calories and macros with clear progress rings
• Fibre, sugar and sodium, when the food supports a real estimate
• Targets calculated from your body and your goal, not a generic 2,000
• Weight chart with trend over 90 days, 6 months, a year
• Before/after progress photos, side by side
• Water intake and a logging streak
• Badges for the milestones that actually took effort
EXERCISE, WITHOUT THE GUESSWORK
Log a run or a lifting session and it's estimated on your phone. Or describe a
workout in words and let the app work it out. Crediting that burn back to your
daily budget is off by default and yours to switch on — burn estimates are the
least certain number in the app, and we'd rather say so than quietly hand you
another 400 calories.
BUILDING MUSCLE, NOT JUST LOSING WEIGHT
Set a gaining goal and the app stops treating a surplus as a failure. Going over
your target turns green, not red.

HONEST ABOUT ACCURACY
Calorie and burn figures are AI estimates, not laboratory measurements. They're
a consistent yardstick, not exact truth.
CAL5 is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent any
condition, and nothing in it is medical advice. If you have a medical condition,
are pregnant, or are managing your weight under supervision, talk to a qualified
health professional before changing what you eat. CAL5 is not intended for
anyone under 18.
