About

CySec reads the public security sources every few minutes and tells you, in plain words, which of the thousands of problems reported each month touch the things you actually run. THE RADAR Add what you run: your operating systems, browsers, cloud services, network gear, and the software your business depends on. Every advisory is matched against it on your iPhone. The Radar shows one threat level, four tiers (Immediate action, Review today, Changed since last view, Watching) and the reason for each. Nothing about your environment leaves the phone. ALERTS THAT FOLLOW THE RADAR A notification when something you run is confirmed to be under attack; a morning brief for the rest. Capped, tiered, and off if you want them off. The Apple Watch app shows the level and lets you mark items from your wrist. PULSE What is happening across the whole industry, whether or not it is yours: developing stories, what is moving fastest, first sightings, ransomware activity, and the CySec Pulse Index, one number a day for how busy the landscape is, with its working shown. COMPANIES YOU RELY ON, AND THREAT ACTORS Name your bank, your insurer, your payroll provider. If one is posted to a leak site or listed in a confirmed breach, you are told, with what to do. Follow threat actors to be told when something names them. Look up any company, actor, product or CVE. YOUR ESTATE One row per product you run, worst first: what is open, what is under attack, what has a fix. ASK CYSEC An on-device assistant, using Apple Intelligence, that explains any item in plain words and says what to do. Optionally connect your own Anthropic API key to use Claude; it is off by default. HONEST BY DESIGN Every number says where it came from. A leak-site claim is called a claim, not a breach. Nothing is a prediction. The sources are public: CISA, NVD, national CERTs, vendor advisories, threat research and the trade press. SUBSCRIPTION CySec is a subscription: $4.99 a month or $39.99 a year, after a 7-day free trial. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when the trial ends and at each renewal. It renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, in Settings, your name, Subscriptions. Prices are in US dollars. Sources: Kevin Beaumont's DoublePulsar, plain-language write-ups of incidents as they unfold, is in the catalogue and on by default. Behind the scenes, the server records a feed as read only after its items are safely stored, so a run that is cut short can never lose a poll.
