About
Your coding agents run on your Mac. Basaltty puts them in your pocket. Start Claude Code, Codex or Gemini CLI in a terminal on your Mac, walk away, and pick the same session up on your iPhone or iPad: the transcript it has written so far, the question it is waiting on, and a prompt you can answer. Nothing is restarted and nothing is lost, because it is the same session: the agent keeps running on your Mac and you are looking at it. • It tells you when an agent is waiting. A question asked while you were away is a badge on your phone, not something you discover an hour later. • Sessions name themselves. A model on your Mac reads what each terminal is doing and calls it "Auth Refresh Fix" rather than "zsh", and groups the related ones together. • A real terminal, not a picture of one: full colour, full scrollback, and vim, htop or a build log behaving exactly as they do on the Mac. • Answer, interrupt, approve. The keys an agent conversation needs: escape, control-C, the arrows: are on a row above the keyboard, in whatever order you put them. • Press and hold to select on the terminal itself, then copy the error. Paste a path or a token back from the same menu. • On iPad, the Mac's own sidebar and canvas, splits included: the agent on one side, the tests it is running on the other. • SSH to your own servers from the same list, with no Mac involved. Hosts sync through your iCloud and private keys stay in the keychain, which iCloud encrypts end to end. • Start a new session or a new group on the Mac from here. Reaching your own Macs takes no setting up at all: nothing to configure, no port to open and no key to copy. Basaltty needs its free Mac app and both devices signed into the same iCloud account; they find each other through it and then talk directly. Nothing goes to a server of ours, because there is no server of ours: the connection is encrypted end to end, and the introduction is a handful of records in your own private iCloud database. Basaltty Pro opens every Mac you own from every device, and signs in with every SSH key you have saved. Without it the app opens the Mac you choose and uses the key you choose, which is all one machine and one key needs. Start Claude Code, Codex or Gemini CLI in a terminal on your Mac, walk away,
and pick the same session up on your iPhone or iPad: the transcript it has
written so far, the question it is waiting on, and a prompt you can answer.
Nothing is restarted and nothing is lost, because it is the same session: the
agent keeps running on your Mac and you are looking at it.
• It tells you when an agent is waiting. A question asked while you were away
is a badge on your phone, not something you discover an hour later.
• Sessions name themselves. A model on your Mac reads what each terminal is
doing and calls it "Auth Refresh Fix" rather than "zsh", and groups the
related ones together.
• A real terminal, not a picture of one: full colour, full scrollback, and
vim, htop or a build log behaving exactly as they do on the Mac.
• Answer, interrupt, approve. The keys an agent conversation needs: escape,
control-C, the arrows: are on a row above the keyboard, in whatever order
you put them.
• Press and hold to select on the terminal itself, then copy the error. Paste
a path or a token back from the same menu.
• On iPad, the Mac's own sidebar and canvas, splits included: the agent on one
side, the tests it is running on the other.
• SSH to your own servers from the same list, with no Mac involved. Hosts sync
through your iCloud and private keys stay in the keychain, which iCloud
encrypts end to end.
