About
Plan every step. Keep the fire alive. Make it to morning. Dawnward is a turn-based survival game you can play anywhere: on a plane, in a tunnel, on a train with no signal. There are no ads, no timers and nothing to wait for. Every move is yours to plan. Each expedition drops you on a small map hidden in fog, with a handful of actions a day. Walk, chop wood, dig stone, pick berries, hunt, fish. Build a fire before dark. Then the night comes in: hunger and warmth drop, the fire burns down, and something is out there. HOW A DAY PLAYS • Morning: you wake with five or six actions. Every step, chop or hunt costs one. Making gear costs none. • Day: walk into the fog, gather what you need and build a camp where you mean to sleep. • Night: the cold, the wolves and the weather take their turn. A night journal tells you how it went. • Dawn: some mornings something is waiting. Tracks, a stranger's pack, a plane overhead. You choose. WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT • Every move is a decision. No reflexes, no rush. Stop any time and pick up exactly where you left off. • Nights you can see coming. Tomorrow's weather is shown tonight, and the temperature is a real number. • Threats you can watch. The wolf pack is on the map, a bear follows your trail, and boars fight back. • A land that fights back. Wildfires, floods, rockfalls and freezes change the map while you sleep. • 40 recipes, learned one expedition at a time: from a first campfire to a raft, a signal fire and iron armour. • 19 dawn events with two answers each, and nothing telling you which one is right. • A stray dog that might decide to stay. • No two expeditions alike. Every map opens in a different place, from small clearings to wide country. SIX LANDS • Greenwood, free: where it starts. Fire, shelter, tools and the first wolves. • Frostreach: every night is freezing, and wolves hunt from the first dark. • Stormcoast: water cuts the land into pieces and storms put out your fires. • Dustlands: the desert adds a fourth bar, thirst. • Blackwater: a fever marsh of bog, rain and mosquitoes. • Ridgeback: thin air, iron in every rock and walls of stone. MORE WAYS TO PLAY • Daily Expedition: a new map every day, the same for everyone. Keep your streak going. • Endless runs: no finish line, and every night is harder than the last. • The Long Walk: one continuous map through every land you own, with seasons. Three kinds of objective keep every expedition different: survive the nights, reach the beacon before the rescue window closes, or bring back what was asked for. Earn three stars on each one. FAIR BY DESIGN • Plays 100% offline. Buying a pack needs a connection once. • No ads. No subscriptions. No timers. No account. • Greenwood, the Daily Expedition and the Long Walk are free. • The other five lands are one-time purchases, or get them all with the Everything Pack, including lands added later. • The Outfit Pack changes how your character looks, and nothing else. Make it to morning. tRead more
